DOL Opinion Letters

Often the only guidance given is an opinion letter. These letters are often hard to find. Here at the Wirtz Labor Library we have a paper copy of most of the Opinion Letters. These are kept in date order and do not have an index. In some cases, an Opinion Letter may be a "fugitive" not received by the Library or not "officially" published. In those cases, there are other resources that can be utilized to locate these materials:

WESTLAW has FMLA and FLSA opinion letters is their FLB-WHOL database.

LEXIS has ERISA and FMLA opinion letters as part of their Labor Library.

Current Opinion Letters for FLSA, FMLA and Youth Employment can be found on the Wage & Hour Division Web page.
